Purmandal (Chhota Kashi): is a holy place located in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is about 30 km form Raghunath Temple, Jammu and 25(approx) km form samba via Vijaypur-Utterbehni Road. It is religious place having 100s of temples of Shiva and other gods and goddesses. It is a famous religious place surrounded by many tourist places Like Mansar lake, Sruinsar, Utterbehni, etc. Shivji Temple is built on the bank of river Devak as Devak emerges from under the mountain for its journey to Purmandal and onward. On Amavasya day, every month a mela is organized a here and there is heavy rush in this temple and thousands of devotees visit here every month to perform Sharadha rituals and for pooja at the Shivji temple. In a year there are 12 melas organized here and each mela has its own importance and characterized by some important names like VAISHAKA AMAVASYA, MAHASHIVRAATRI,CHAITRA CHAUDISH etc.
